Note: This tab is only accessible for tariff rates that have been enabled for rates by range. This will be the case when the tariff rate references a Range ID. There will be one row in this grid corresponding to each range defined for the applicable Range ID.
Rates by Range (Editable Grid)
Range From: The low end of the rate range. This column will be based on the ranges for the Range ID for the tariff rate. This column will always be read-only.
Range To: The high end of the rate range. This column will be based on the ranges for the Range ID for the tariff rate. Rating will compare this value to the look-up units to determine which range rate is applicable. This column will always be read-only.
Charge Type: The Charge Type for the rate range. Potential values are: per-unit, flat rate, percentage. This column will be based on the Charge Type for the ranges for the Range ID for the tariff rate. Rating will use this value to control how Rate will be used. This column will always be read-only.
Rate: The rate for this tariff range. Editable in Update mode. Negative values are allowed. Depending on Charge Type, Rate will could be extended by the applicable number of rating units, used as a flat charge amount or used as a percentage to compute an amount based on another amount which could be a monetary amount.
Clip: Indicates whether Clipping is applicable for the rate range. This column will be based on the Clip flag for the ranges for the Range ID for the tariff rate. Rating will use this value to control how Rate will be used. This column will always be read-only. Clip will always be False for the first range for a rate.
Base Charge: The Base Charge for this tariff range. Editable in Update mode. Negative values are allowed. This amount will be applied in addition to charges computed based on Rate for the rate range.
