Supported Equipment Types (Employee)

Use this screen to define the list of Equipment Types supported by the Shipping Location. This list will also restrict the Equipment Types supported by any Dock associated to the given Shipping Location.

For shipping locations with no Equipment Types defined, any Equipment Type is considered to be enabled for Unrestricted use.

Transportation Manager will not allow an Equipment Type to be assigned to a transaction if it is not enabled for use at the applicable shipping locations. If any equipment types for any equipment category are enabled for a shipping location, then the configuration must define all equipment types that can be used at the location.

If equipment has been defined for a location, equipment type eligibility for loads will be determined as follows:

• If neither the load nor any of the attached shipment legs have a committed Trailer or Tractor Equipment Type, each Equipment Type selected by the Route, Rate and Schedule process for the load must be enabled for Unrestricted use at each of the stops on the load's itinerary.
• If either the load or any of the attached shipment legs have a committed Trailer or Tractor Equipment Type, each of the committed Equipment Types must be enabled for Restricted or Unrestricted use at each of the stops on the load's itinerary.
