This section defines the following control parameters for a purge request:
Mode: Type of purge request. Following are the types of purge requests:
Audit Without Delete: When the purge request is run, a report is generated. In this case, the report contains details about the data which would have been purged based on the purge parameters. This does not delete data.
Purge: When the purge request is run, data is deleted based on the search parameters and a report is generated.
Maximum Run Time: Time limit in hours for which the purge request can be run. If you do not enter a value, the purge request does not have a time limit to delete the loads and their associated data based on the purge parameters.
Maximum Number of Blocks per Iteration:Specifies the maximum number of purge blocks in the temporary delete work file during processing. 0 means no limit. When the specified number of blocks is reached, database delete transactions are committed for those blocks and the following events occur :
The iteration is complete.
The content of the Delete Work file is cleared.
Sorted Purge Report is deleted.
A new output file, Sorted Purge Report, is created for each iteration and the iteration number is added to the output file name.
Purge Report Name: Identifier for a purge report. Actual report name is concatenated with the purge request ID.
Purge Block Dump: If selected, purge block is dumped to a system-created file.
Block Dump Name: Identifier for a purge block dump.
