Note: All fields on this tab are editable in Update mode, excluding names and descriptions associated with designated identifiers.

Logistics Grouping

• Division: The ID of the division to which this customer belongs. It is optional for users who are not restricted to a specific division. It can be modified in Update mode if the Enforce Division and Logistics Group Relationships check box in the Global Settings is unselected. If a division is not specified, the customer can be used in all divisions.
• Logistics Group: The ID of the logistics group to which this customer belongs. It is optional for users who are not restricted to a specific logistics group. It can be modified in Update mode if the Enforce Division and Logistics Group Relationships check box in the Global Settings is unselected. If a logistics group is not specified, the customer can be used in all logistics groups.

Corporate Identities

• Corporate Customer: Indicates whether this customer is a corporate customer.

  Note: There is no logic in Transportation Manager based on the corporate customer designation. This can be used for any user-defined purpose.

• Corporate Parent ID: The corporate parent for this customer. If specified, it refers to another customer.
• Corporate ID 1: First corporate identifier.
• Corporate ID 2: Second corporate identifier.
• A/R Account Number: The account number for this customer in your financial system.
• Account Number with Customer: The account number for your enterprise in the customer's financial system.

Defaults and Constraints

• Minimum Order Value: The minimum monetary amount expressed in customer's currency for the order value for shipments for this customer.
• Maximum Order Value: The maximum monetary amount expressed in customer's currency for order value for shipments for this customer.
• Origin Type: The shipping location type that is established by default to define the origin shipping location for shipments and rate quotations for this customer.
• Destination Type: The shipping location type that is established by default to define the destination shipping location for shipments and rate quotations for this customer.
• Origin ID: The ID of the shipping location that is established by default as the origin shipping location for shipments and rate quotations for this customer.
• Destination ID: The ID of the shipping location that is established by default as the destination shipping location for shipments and rate quotations for this customer.
• Origin Name: The description of the origin ID.
• Destination Name: The description of the destination ID.
• Default Service: The default A/R service for this customer.
• Routing Precision: The routing precision to be used when routing is performed for this customer. The possible values are:
  • Combined Precisions: A relative value will be assigned for the precision of both the origin and destination. The lane or lane constraint with the largest “score” will be used.
  • Default Geographic Precision: Use the optimization parameter RoutePrecisionCriteria which support the other five possible values for Routing Precision.
  • Destination Precision Over Origin: The lane or lane constraint with the most precise destination will be used.
  • More Precise Origin or Destination: The lane or lane constraint with the most precise origin or destination will be used. Destination will take priority in the case of a tie.
  • Origin Precision Over Destination: The lane or lane constraint with the most precise origin will be used.
  • Service: A lane or lane constraint that refers to a Service will be considered more precise than any entry that does not, regardless of the geographic precision of the zone.
    • A lane with a service is chosen over a lane without service
    • A lane on a referential tariff is chosen over a lane on a master tariff
    • A lane with a commodity is chosen over a lane without commodity
    • A lane with a matching lane template is chosen over a lane without a lane template

  When the Routing Precision for a Tariff is Default Geographic Precision, the value for the Optimization Parameter, RoutePrecisionCriteria will be used to establish the geographic precision rule for lanes and lane constraints. Otherwise, the value for the Tariff will be used when evaluating lanes and lane constraints for the services defined for the tariff.

  Routing Precision (using the Tariff value or RoutePrecisionCriteria) is needed to determine specificity of lane constraints when the Optimization Parameter, LaneConstraintSatisfactionCriteria is MOST_EXACT or ADDITIVE.

• Allow Shipments: Indicates whether shipments can be created for this customer.
• Allow Mixed Loads: Indicates whether this customer's shipments can be combined with shipments for other customers onto a load.
• Allow Mixed Trips/Bookings: Indicates whether this customer's shipments can be combined with shipments for other customers onto a trip or booking.
• Incoterms Version: The Incoterms version that is used to validate Incoterms when creating shipments for this customer.
• Apply Charges vs. Prepaid Segment Only: Controls whether this customer is billed only for the portion of the itinerary for which they are responsible in cases where A/P costs for moving shipment are split between buyer and seller at a mid-point.
• Default Freight Terms: The default freight terms for this customer. The possible values are Prepaid or Collect. This value is used when creating a non-operational freight.
• Desired Gross Margin: The desired gross margin percentage for loads moving this customer's goods exclusively. It is applicable only when the Maintain Load Gross Margin check box in Global Settings is selected. See Global Settings – Controls – Workflow Tab Fields.
• Customer Profile Type: The type for this customer profile. The possible values are Supplier or Customer.
