Evaluating Shipments for Consolidation

If A/R consolidation is active, only shipments where all of the following data elements are equal will be considered as eligible for re-rating:

Since the Lane must be equal for all shipments before consolidated rating will be attempted, this means that consolidation is actually being limited to whichever is more geographically precise: the Geographic Precision for the Lane or the Geographic Level of Precision for the Tariff Service.

There is no requirement that each of the elements of the origin address must be equal. If lanes are configured such that a separate lane will be used for each origin point, then consolidation will not consolidate across origins.

If consolidation by date has been requested, the Date Shipped for the load to which the first leg of the itinerary of each shipment is attached will be used for the comparison. For Planned Loads, this is the date provided when confirmation is first performed for the load. For Manifests, this is the date specified when the Manifest was closed (that is, when consolidated rating is performed and the manifest is initially generated).

If consolidation by itinerary is requested, the Load Number, Carrier, Tariff and Service must be equal for each leg of the itineraries of each shipment under consideration.

If consolidation requires the same options, in addition to the selection criteria imposed when value for Tariff Service is "Shipped Same Day" or "Following Same Itinerary", shipments will not be eligible for consolidation if they do not have exactly the same set of options enabled. It does not matter if the options are enabled for "Rating Only" or for "Routing and Rating". Options could be enabled based on Charge Overrides for the Shipment or Auto-Applied Options for the Shipment's origin and/or destination location.

If a Reference Number Qualifier was defined for the customer, consolidation will also require that the values for the corresponding reference numbers be equal on each of the shipments being considered for consolidation. If an entry does not exist in the Reference Number table for the designated Qualifier ID and Level, the shipment will not be considered eligible for consolidation even when all other factors are equal.

Shipments are not eligible for A/R consolidation when any of the following statements is True:
