Evaluating Shipment Legs for Consolidation

The following attributes will be equal for all shipment legs attached to Manifest:

• Division
• Origin Shipping Location ID / Type
• Freight Terms
• Bill-to Customer (if Freight Terms are "Collect")
• Tariff
• Manifest Group (from Tariff Service)

If A/P manifest consolidation is active, only shipment legs attached to Manifest where all of the following data elements are equal will be considered as eligible for consolidated rating:

• Commodity
• Service
• Equipment Type
• Lane

Since the Lane must be equal for all shipment legs before consolidated rating will be attempted, this means that consolidation is actually limited to whichever is more geographically precise: the Geographic Precision for the Lane or the Geographic Level of Precision for the Tariff Service.

If consolidation requires the same options, in addition to the selection criteria imposed when the value for Tariff Service is "Perform Consolidation for all Eligible Shipment Legs", shipment legs will not be eligible for consolidation if they do not have exactly the same set of options enabled. It does not matter if the options are enabled for "Rating Only" or for "Routing and Rating". Options could be enabled based on Charge Overrides for the Shipment or Shipment Leg, or based on Auto-Applied Options for the shipment leg's origin and/or destination location.

Shipment legs are not eligible for A/P manifest consolidation when any of the following statements is True:

• The Tariff Service selected by routing/rating for the shipment leg includes one or more Tariff Charges where the Data Accumulation Level for the applicable Master Charge is stop based (that is, Pick Location", "Drop Location" or "Both Pick and Drop Location").
• Rating Results for the shipment leg include one or more Charge Details where Rating Units are equal to "Manually Input".
• Rating Results for the shipment leg include one or more Charge Details where the Pre-Purchased flag is True.
