Overview

Load Merge-in-Transit Consolidation Class (MITCC) can optionally be assigned to a shipment. When a load MITCC is assigned, a load MITCC Sequence Number can optionally be specified.

If the load MITCC Strategy is Must Drop at the Same Location, when a load MITCC is assigned to a Shipment, Transportation Manager(TM) will ensure that the following attributes for the current shipment are compatible with all other shipments with the same load MITCC:

If the load MITCC Strategy is Allow Drop at Different Locations, when a load MITCC is assigned to a Shipment, Transportation Manager will ensure that the following attributes for the current shipment are compatible with all other shipments with the same load MITCC:

If Allow Pickup from Different Locations is assigned as a load MITCC strategy for a Shipment, TM ensures that the following attributes of the shipment are compatible with other shipments with the same load MITCC:

If Must Pickup from Same Location is assigned as a load MITCC strategy for a Shipment, TM ensures that the following attributes of the shipment are compatible with other shipments with the same load MITCC:

Transportation Planner will ensure that the first or last shipment leg (depending on Load MITCC Strategy) for all shipments with a given load MITCC will be placed on the same load. If the load MITCC strategy is Must Drop at Same Location, then all of these shipment legs will be assigned to the same delivery stop.

If load MITCC Sequence Numbers were provided for Must Drop at Same Location and Must Pickup from Same Location , shipment legs will be sequenced so that they are unloaded in the designated sequence.

When a load is set to planned, if it contains the first or last shipment leg (depending on Load MITCC Strategy) for a shipment with a load MITCC, the operation will be successful only if the load contains the first or last shipment leg for all other shipments with the same load MITCC.

Shipment legs that represent the first or last leg (depending on Load MITCC Strategy) on the itinerary for a shipment with a load MITCC cannot follow the Manifest Process.

Once a load containing the first or last legs for a shipment with a load MITCC has been advanced to Planned status, it will no longer be possible to assign this load MITCC to any other shipment. Values assigned as load MITCC cannot be reused until the original set of shipments referencing it have been purged.

Load MITCC can be used in several ways:
