Load Suspension Variances – Amounts and Percentages
Weight Positive: Determines if loads should be suspended when the net weight for a shipment increases as a result of a shipment modification. The Amount is expressed in the weight unit of measure for the system. If the difference between original and revised weight exceeds the value for the Weight Positive Amount, or the difference expressed as a percentage exceeds the Weight Positive Percentage, all corresponding loads will be suspended.
Weight Negative: Determines if loads should be suspended when the net weight for a shipment decreases as a result of a shipment modification. The Amount is expressed in the weight unit of measure for the system. If the difference between original and revised weight (expressed in absolute value) exceeds the value for the Weight Negative Amount, or the difference expressed as a percentage exceeds the Weight Negative Percentage, all corresponding loads will be suspended.
Volume Positive: Determines if loads should be suspended when the net volume for a shipment increases as a result of a shipment modification. The Amount is expressed in the cubic equivalent of the length unit of measure for the system (if system length unit of measure is Feet, system cubic unit of measure is Cubic Feet). If the difference between original and revised volume exceeds the value for the Volume Positive Amount, or the difference expressed as a percentage exceeds the Volume Positive Percentage, all corresponding loads will be suspended.
Weight Negative: Determines if loads should be suspended when the net volume for a shipment decreases as a result of a shipment modification. The Amount value is expressed in the cubic equivalent of the length unit of measure for the system. If the difference between original and revised volume (expressed in absolute value) exceeds the value for the Volume Negative Amount, or the difference expressed as a percentage exceeds the Volume Negative Percentage, all corresponding loads will be suspended.
Distance Positive: Determines if loads should be suspended when the total distance (fixed itinerary distance) for a load increases as a result of a modification to the origin or destination address for a shipment. The Amount is expressed in the distance unit of measure for the system. If the difference between original and revised distance for the load exceeds the value for the Distance Positive Amount, or the difference expressed as a percentage exceeds the Distance Positive Percentage, all affected loads will be suspended, if origin address for the shipment was modified, the load to which the shipment’s first leg is attached will be suspended; if the destination address was modified, the load with the shipment’s last leg will be suspended.
Distance Negative: Determines if loads should be suspended when the total distance for a load decreases as a result of a modification to the origin or destination address for a shipment. The Amount is expressed in the distance unit of measure for the system. If the difference between original and revised distance for the load (expressed in absolute value) exceeds the value for the Distance Negative Amount, or the difference expressed as a percentage exceeds the Distance Negative Percentage, all affected loads will be suspended: if origin address for the shipment was modified, the load to which the shipment’s first leg is attached will be suspended; if the destination address was modified, the load with the shipment’s last leg will be suspended.
