Create a skeleton route version

The creation of a skeleton route version allows changes to be made to an existing skeleton route definition in advance of when the changes actually need to take effect. “Versioning” auto-populates the effective date to be one day after the expiration date of the selected skeleton route. The expiration date auto-populates to be one year after the adjusted effective date. These values may be edited.

1. From the Transportation Smartbench, run a search to populate the Skeleton Route view.
2. Select a skeleton route and click Create Version. The Create Skeleton Route Version page is displayed.
3. Enter the values in appropriate fields as needed. See Skeleton Route - Fields, Skeleton Location - Fields, and Driver fields for more information.
4. Click Save to initiate back-end validation and save to the database. Alternatively, click Cancel to exit the page without saving.

Note: The effective/expiration date range of a versioned skeleton route cannot overlap with existing skeleton routes having the same skeleton route ID. Existing skeleton routes may need their dates altered before starting this operation.
